Diane Arbus

Diane Arbus was born on March 14, 1923 and died in July 26, 1971. She was an American photographer and writer noted for black-and-white square photographs of "deviant and marginal people (dwarfs, giants, transgender people, nudists, circus performers) or of people whose normality seems ugly or surreal.
I find these kind of circus acts frightful, knowing full well that
they have been training they were young. But even so suicide
doesn't sit well with me. Actually I think Arbus would agree,
she has shot this photo in black and white, emphasising the
seriousness and danger of it. Then again all her photos are in black
and white, so I could very well be wrong.
I find this more laughable and cheerful, the aspect of big and
small, old and young (well middle aged) but strangely enough,
the younger fellow has the walking stick whereas the older
people don't, they look fit as a fiddle.
